Staff Selection Commission is an organization, which recruits staff for various post department and ministries of the Government of India. Staff Selection Commission was constituted on the 4th of November 1947 as the subordinate Service Commission which was renamed as Staff Selection Commission on the 26th of September 1947.
Every year Commission conducts SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination for recruiting non-gazetted officers to various government jobs. Headquarter of SSC is located at New Delhi, it also has some regional office at Prayagraj, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Bengaluru, and New Delhi.
